Microsoft UET Consent Mode Integration Now Available!
We're excited to announce a feature that will help you maintain compliance with global data protection laws while optimizing your advertising efforts on the Microsoft Advertising Platform (MAP).
Introducing: Microsoft UET Consent Mode Integration
Secure Privacy now offers support for Microsoft UET Consent Mode, working hand-in-hand with Universal Event Tracking (UET). This integration is designed to help you:
- Respect User Privacy: Dynamically adjust data collection based on user consent, aligning with laws like GDPR.
- Maintain Ad Performance Insights: Even when users don't fully consent, you can still gather valuable anonymized data for better understanding of your ad campaigns.
- Streamline Compliance: Automatically manage
ad_storage
values based on user consent and geographical location, ensuring your MAP activities are compliant.
How it works:
Our platform smartly sets the ad_storage
value for UET on each page load before consent is captured. For regions where GDPR is mandated (e.g., in the EU), it defaults to denied
. For other regions (e.g., most US states), it defaults to granted
. Once a user interacts with your consent banner, their preferences will be communicated to UET.
Getting Started:
Enabling Microsoft UET Consent Mode is quick and easy:
- Log in to your Secure Privacy dashboard.
- Go to Domain Settings.
- Click on the Advanced tab.
- Enable the Microsoft Consent Mode toggle.
